- Pictures from the book
The Market Hill Fire Station. Built in 1939 after a mutiny at Kelvedon. This event was successfully hushed-up at a time when everyone was supposed to be working together in the war effort. The call-out siren, previously the war-time air-raid siren, can be seen between the two poles on the left.
