An early photo of the old buildings which stood at the top of Bridge Street and along West Street that were demolished to widen the road in the late 1920's. Amazing to think that this is the main road between Colchester and Braintree - the A120. The shop was used by E W King from 1893 until their new premises opened on Grange Hill. The writing on the White Hart, partly visible on the left reads 'Commercial Hotel - Posting House'. A close up view follows.
