Close by on the other side of the road was a piped spring (the pipe is still there) which produced lovely sweet water that we used to drink as kids. Last time I remember clearly I was on my way down to the Kinema for the Saturday morning show for the kids. What an experience that was, the noise of it - the booing the hissing, the clapping, the shouting out - stuff being thrown! Brilliant!
