Market End showing Doubleday's shop. This plate marks a very particular moment - just above the pram in the centre, the old buildings at the corner of Bridge Street and the start of West Street are in the process of being demolished. The three-storied warehouse behind the shop is down to the ground floor and the shop will be next. The road was very narrow at that point and there had been some serious accidents.
