The start of Tilkey Road. Just behind the cyclist is the five-bar gate leading to Millhouse where one of the largest windmills in Essex once stood. The telegraph pole on the extreme left was put up in 1931 (to point erected near the Round House the application said) extending the telephone system from the original pole on Market Hill.
