The padlock sign has survived and is in the Coggeshall Museum. The hanging fish advertises that fishing licences can be bought as they could right into the 1960's at least, I bought one there myself.

By Rod Miller: I recall Rackham who then sold on to Wilson in early 60's But how long did Rackhams have the shop Seems as if the older photos have the name on the padlock back in the late 1800's !
By Geraldine Spencer: I worked at Brights elecrtical shop next to Rackhams The Padlock in the 60s. Olives dress shop was opposite.
