- Church Street
The Coggeshall Baptists first met in around 1750 in a building on Back Lane and later in the house adjoining Hares bridge on West Street. The Meeting House shown above was erected in 1855 on a piece of land bought for £180 on 28th April 1825. The opening sermon was preached by the celebrated Kelvedon orator the Rev C H Spurgeon.
