- Bridge Street
Flooding at Bridge Street. Carts ferrying people across the water. The nearest is from William Bright & Sons Brewers of Stoneham Street part of which is now the village Hall. On the right note the planks dropped into slots in the gateposts and being sealed with clay, a flood defence as the river overflowed regularly.
