Gardner's Dray on Bridge Street almost opposite the Portobello public house. The house behind which was adjacent to the Short Bridge is long gone. The barrels are labelled for 'Mild', 'Ordinary' and 'Pale Ale'. Gardner's brewery was mothballed in WW2 ready for use in an emergency but never operated again.
