- Market Hill
The hunt on Market Hill, E W King facing the camera, left with the buttonhole he always wore. In the distance Joe Green has taken over the Locomotive and repainted the old sign. Next door just to the left of the lamp is Robert Southgate's shop, he was a fish merchant who later moved back to his home town of Ipswich. He was well liked in Coggeshall and a sub-captain in the Coggeshall Fire Brigade. His son remained in the area, opening his own fish shop in Kelvedon.
