Bryan Saunders Coggeshall last woodcarver at work in his workshop at No 2 Stoneham Street. The bench you can see here ran along inside the shop window so that as you walked past you could see him working inside. He moved here and opened his workshop in 1915, also home to his wife, Maud, and later two daughters Gwen and Janet both born in the house. He was a kind and gentle man.
