East side of Stoneham Street an enlargement from 04/08. Lovely old shop fronts and a chicken in the road. The Locomotive Inn closed its doors for the last time in 1910. There is more pub news here - in the distance, the sign of the Royal Oak has been taken down, leaving its pole (closed 1907) but behind it you can see the sign for the Foresters over the entrance door.
