By Clive Wade: The Congregational Church and churchyard is on the left with its iron arched gate. I was baptised here and put on the 'Cradle Roll'. In the far distance (pub sign visible but not readable) is the Foresters. My mother worked part time there as a bar maid, much to her parents displeasure. Frequented by GIs in ww2 and without the input of one of them this comment would not have been written...
